While in high school I devoted every free period to the art room under the tutelage of Dean Stambaugh, and by my senior year was winning prizes for my watercolors and acrylics. In the 1990’s, inspired by the landscapes of New Mexico and New Zealand, I took up brushes again and was soon being represented by the Taos Gallery (where I met my wife, Johannah). In November 2021 I finally took up the brushes again, inspired by scenes of the sea, including shipwrecks, rescues, and lighthouses.
